Try Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan is a sharing of resources among libraries. You can make an online interlibrary loan request if you have no overdue items and no fees due. Click the button at the bottom of this page to get started!
How much does it cost?
Wichita Public Library does not charge for using the Interlibrary Loan service, but some lending libraries do. You will be contacted if there are any fees associated with your loan before it ships.
How many requests may I submit?
You are allowed up to three active Interlibrary Loan requests.
How long does it take for a request to be filled?
Most requests are filled in two to four weeks. Rare or new titles may take longer. More than one lending library may be used to fill your order, so you will not necessarily receive all requested materials at the same time.
How will I know when my item is in? How long may I keep it?
You will receive an automated phone or e-mail notice as soon as your request is available for pickup. Loan periods are determined by the lending library, so they will vary. Please note Interlibrary Loan materials cannot be renewed, and have an overdue fee of $1 per day.
